Pre-boat holidays

I am writing this from  the Isle of Islay, Scotland.  It has been a very busy month, and keeping up with the blog has fallen by the wayside.  Compounding this, we have not had good internet access anywhere we have been.  However, I intend to get things caught up over the next few days.

Sara and Emily arrived July 11th into Manchester.  I had found a farm-stay for us for the first week, to give us a quiet break to get over jet lag an get rested up for what I expected to be a busy summer.  We were located an hour or so south of Manchester, and had a lovely 3 bedroom house, looking out over the grazing fields.  We toured a few local sites that week, but it was pretty low key.

We then spend a day and a night in Liverpool, before heading back to Wales, for the survey of the boat.  We stayed in a very cute seaside resort town called Llandudno.
